However, I have to differ with some of the content of your page, because I think that while you are presenting some very valid ideas, they are skewed. Please read this with an open mind, because I think that an open mind is the key, or perhaps the path, to peace. The fact of the matter is, all struggles involve injustices. It is also true that the Palestinians have been fighting for independence for a very long time. I suppose it upset me that you primarily present atrocities committed by Israelis on your website. I suppose it is because Israel is an established country and so “it should know better”. I’m not, by any means, justifying everything that Israel has done. I don’t think it’s right that acts of atrocity are committed on innocent people. I don’t think that people should fear for their lives when they go out. I don’t think that people should need to worry about their jobs and their family’s safety. But I also think that this is a two-sided conflict. You posted a piece about a 72-year-old Palestinian being killed. You post pieces on how children and innocent people are brutally killed by Israeli soldiers. People are people. No matter of what nationality, people are still people. We all bleed the same, we all feel emotions of love and hate. So let me ask you this: if you think that it is an atrocity to kill unsuspecting, innocent people, what do you say about suicide bombing carried out by Palestinians? The people killed and injured in those events have blood just as red as the blood of a Palestinian. They may be children, elders, or just plain, middle aged people who are unarmed and unsuspecting. Above ideological disposition, how do you justify this? Most of the killing done by Israeli soldiers has a set purpose. Yes, there are some soldiers that go crazy or make bad decisions. But most of the time, they are targeting leaders of terrorists who they know are sending out suicide bombers to kill innocent Israelis. Isn’t a country fundamentally supposed to protect the lives of its citizens? Israeli commanders don’t wake up in the morning wanting to kill the elderly Palestinian and the innocent woman, man or child. They intend to target people who they specifically know pose a real threat to the lives of the everyday Israeli citizen.
